<p style=”text-align: left;”>They have it for the Oscars. Why not the Emmys? (If this already exists, sorry!)</p>

I love her and it was so nice to see her all happy but Shannon Purser may be the most ridiculous Emmy nomination I have seen. She got in solely based on the fact that “Justice for Barb” was such a big thing. I also think that people need to take that into consideration for this year’s nominations.

I’m interested in this thread and seeing if anybody can top this. You can’t help but be happy for her, but you also wonder how the hell did this happen and why? We know why, but it’s so weird and undeserving.

I was gonna add Charlie Sheen, but Purser even beats him. At least he had 24 episodes and the biggest (possibly worst) show on tv.

Not worse than Purser, but Emilia Clarke deserve a consideration in this regard.

Shannon Purser, Laverne Cox, Emilia Clarke and then there are people like January Jones who are normally awful but actually deserved their nominations.

Another one I would like to mention is Millie Bobby Brown’s likely nomination this year. She was good in season 1. Very subtle, very grounded performance. This year, however, she was not good. She had some great moments, but her acting felt forced, way too rehearsed and compared to the competition, it was underwhelming. She’s a good actress no doubt, but we are talking about the Emmys, and one of the most competitive categories. The fact that Strahovski and/or Kirby could be snubbed because of her is laughable. People can say all they want about Metz but Metz can act! Her performance is rather understated and she doesn’t transform into someone like the others do.

I don’t think Purser deserves to be mentioned here. Maybe she could be mentioned as worst nomination, but it’s unfair to say she’s the worst actor with a nomination. It’s the role that was unworthy. Her performance itself wasn’t bad.

MBB and Purser have no business here. They are both way too young to be mentioned. And neither does Emilia Clrake who was just fab. in Me Before You.

I’d say Jesse Tyler Ferguson is a pretty weak actor overall. He has five Emmy nominations. I mean don’t get me wrong, his character is very sympathetically written, its just there isn’t much acting going on with him. He seems really amateurish comparing to the rest of the adult cast. I don’t see how he has more nominations than Stonestreet and O’Neill, who both acting circles around him.

I have to agree with January Jones. She should have won, but in everything else she is absolutely atrocious.

It’s actually hilarious how perfect the role is written for her, to where it takes her bad acting and turns it into a character where the terrible acting suddenly becomes an amazing performance. Its hilarious to think that her acting in the role is terrible, yet her performance is simultaneously amazing. Me and my friend normally get into debates of whether she deserves credit for the performance are not, with me saying she does.

Let’s wait for the nominations, shall we? If the Gods are good, she might not get a nomination.

Mandy Moore is a great potential example.  I cannot really begrudge a nomination because of her material, but she is not a good actress.

The worst for me is probably Dan Bucatinsky.  People like Margo Martindale and Ben Mendelsohn might have barely given performances in their winning tapes, but Bucatinsky did the worst acting in a winning tape that I have ever seen.

That reminds me how terrible Kerry Washington is, especially in Confirmation. And that reminds me of how Rose Byrne was in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. She was not nominated for that, but she was for Damages.

January Jones was fine in The Last Man on Earth; she should have won for Mad Men. Millie Bobby Brown was great in the first season and fine in the second.

"I don't even believe in god, but I'm going to thank her tonight."

I can’t believe people think Mandy Moore is not a good actress. I am quite shocked tbh. I think she’s exceptional.
