    Drama:
    Succession
    The Crown
    The Handmaid’s Tale
    Stranger Things
    Watchmen

    Comedy:
    Barry
    Veep
    The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
    The Good Place
Fleabag, if it is not eligible, then Russian Doll or GLOW.

Good for me, I had just 1 mistake in every category, Pen15 instead of The Good Place, and Mindhunter instead of Stranger things. I hope that now people will understand that the huge writing flops of GoT and BLL will not be forgiven.

THT was nominated along with the three favorites of the critics, so I ask myself when people in this forum are going to stop underestimating it?

Same goes for This is us that received its THIRD consecutive nomination in this category.

An incredibly deserved nominations for “407 Proxy Authentication Required” (Mr. Robot) and “Here’s Where We Get Off” (Orange Is the New Black). Once again, a noms that prove that voters are watching TV.

This category is decided by a panel, so this indeed does not prove that voters are watching and is not really an indicator of popularity. That is why surprising choices are nominated here every year that do not translate to the Emmys.

One other question. Is mindhunter rebooted each season like 24 or homeland. Almost like a half anthology?

No, it is not like that. Really, the best comparison would be The Good Wife.

Not at all. There are a lot of tendencies, like the fact that This is us has three nominations. Also, when I said that they watch TV, I meant all the nominations, not just this category.

Ok thanks. If mindhunter is like the good wife than it must be similar to fringe too?

I didn’t watch good wife. That show is similar to fringe. Correct?

The content of both shows couldn’t be more different. If you mean serialized elements mixed with procedural elements, then yes.

The Good Place is in big trouble. Despite the bad buzz lately, I had been predicting it to repeat its Golden Globe nominations because this is the final season, but I will be changing that now. The writers and the Globe voters both tend to be on the ball about drops in quality.

Again, this is a show that is at ONE. HUNDRED. PERCENT. critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes. For reasons that are not understood, there is no Metacritic rating. Can’t improve upon 100%.

It’s just the same bias against network TV comedies that’s cropping up again, generally, and against The Good Place in particular.

Oh there is a perfectly reasonable reason why it doesn’t have a Metacritic rating. Metacritic recorded just a single review from a certified critic and you need at least four to get rated.

I wouldn’t brag about that 100%. The only critics that are watching it now are fans, the rest have dropped it. That’s why it has a 100% and so do shows like Grey’s Anatomy lol. The number of reviews matter.

Who cares about rotten tomatoes though?

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor
