If dialogue or number of word per minute means quality, Gilmore Girls is the best series ever. (Plot twist: it is).

Guys, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms may be the best episode of the season but it is absolutely not a worthy writing nominee. So much of it was incredibly forced.

Barry’s “ronny/lily” should win Best Directing for a Comedy Series. Holy shit that was incredible.

Clearly, “Janet(s)” from The Good Place. A masterclass in every way.

Can’t Game of Thrones have 2 writing nominations? Why is it always only D&D nominated? So many other shows have multiple writing nominations.

The only time that they submitted more than one episode for consideration was the season for which they were snubbed in writing, which may or may not have been a coincidence. The other reason to submit only one is to avoid vote-splitting when it comes time to vote for the winner.

GoT is big enough to submit more than one script and be nominated for every one, is not season 2 anymore.

FYC: Drama Series: Game of Thrones, Succession, Bodyguard. Drama Lead Actress: Emilia Clarke, Drama Lead Actor: Richard Madden, Jeremy Strong. Limited Series: Chernobyl

Does Miguel Sapochnik have a chance winning for “The Long Night”? Everyone complains about how dark it was. I’m surprised he didn’t submit “The Bells” episode.

Apart from some dark scenes the directing in The Long Night was a masterpiece. But I do prefer he had submitted The Bells.

Who knows, maybe he changes his mind and submits it instead. But I doubt it.

They may still get nominated for “The Long Night”. But that is D&D’s only chance for a writing nomination since they didn’t submit Bryan Cogman’s episode.

Guillermo Del Toro praised Barry’s Ronny/Lily episode and Bill Hader’s directing. Are we thinking that everyone in the academy is thinking the same and that this episode is a lock for Best Directing in a Comedy Series?

Considering the possibility of Barry only submitting that episode (or getting a sole nomination overall) and both Veep and Maisel getting double nods, it’s pretty safe to say “ronny/lily” is winning. Let’s not forget Bill Hader is also coming off of a DGA win for the first season.
