Congrats to the winners – were there any glaring omissions?

No Zach Braff either. Those were the only two really notable debuts from this year I can think of that were left off.

Lisa O’Hare as making her broadway debut if I remember correctly. Surprised she was left off. And though it wasnt a great show, Amber Iman received lots of praise for her portrayal of Nina Simone in Soul Doctor.

Zachary Quinto won in 2011 for “Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes”.

Hasn’t Zach Braff made some Off-Broadway appearances? I think it wouldn’t be appropriate to recognize him for a debut performance at this point.

As I understand it, you’re eligible for your Off-B’way debut and also your Broadway debut. So theoretically, you could win two.

Braff has made his Off-Broadway debut already, in a play called Trust, opposite Sutton Foster.
