The 71st Annual Tony Awards airs on CBS tonight at 8/7c. Let’s use this forum to post our reactions to any moment that will happen during the telecast tonight.
I won’t be able to post much tonight because I’m actually going to be in the audience at Radio City Music Hall. So I’ll probably post my reactions sometime tomorrow.

Dave Malloy – Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812June 11, 2017 at 2:24 pm #1202117445I wonder if this will get Kevin the Emmy? Though I can’t help to think what Tina Fey would’ve done as host.
ReplyCopy URLJune 11, 2017 at 3:00 pm #1202117480I like to see if I can predict better than Sam Eckmann; we agree on 20 out of 24 categories. 3 of those are my #2 choices! The four categories where I have predicted differently are Best Play, Best Musical, Best Director of a Play and Best Featured Actress in a Musical. We will know in a few hours! (: I found this year much more difficult than past years to predict, much closer toss-up categories.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and while I wound up doing something else with my life the Tonys is my favorite night of the year (: I know it will be a wonderful show (but I do wish they had a better host than Kevin Spacey).
ReplyCopy URLJune 11, 2017 at 4:12 pm #1202117538So is this costume design lady (Jane whatever) going to finally win her first Tony after 20 nominations? If she loses again with everyone predicting her you’d have to think it’s personal on the voters part.

Why did I switch to Danny DeVito? Oh yeah, the Drama Desk awards! ); Happy for Mr. Aronov! (:
ReplyCopy URLJune 11, 2017 at 5:20 pm #1202117595So happy I followed my guts on Aronov. I took plenty of risks and will probably crash later on, but Aronov’s win makes me so happy.

I do like this very dramatic “Miss Saigon” number.
