Well, they sure settled that legal dispute pretty quick. I’m surprised they picked the Shubert Theatre for it to play in. They usually play really big scale musical productions. I (and I’m sure many others) assumed that once Hello, Dolly! closed, Moulin Rouge! would probably be playing there following its run in Boston. I guess Scott Rudin is really hoping the legacy of the book and the film will create huge ticket sales.

Jim Parsons is on temporary medical leave from The Boys In The Band after sustaining a minor foot fracture on May 12. He is expected to return sometime this week. Roundabout Theatre Company will be presenting an off-Broadway revival of George Furth & Stephen Sondheim’s legendary flop, Merrily We Roll Along, in collaboration with the Fiasco Theatre.
It was also the musical that was recently presented in the first third of Lady Bird.
