I figured there ought to be a forum for special honors being given out to people in the theater community as well as smaller awards that don’t get a lot of attention or aren’t as high profile as the Tonys, Drama Desks, etc.

So first up here is that the Theater Hall of Fame have announced their 2018 inductees. They are:

    Rene Auberjonois (actor)
    Christine Baranski (actress)
    Maria Irene Fornes (playwright)
    James Houghton (producer)
    David Henry Hwang (playwright)
    Adrienne Kennedy (playwright)
    Joe Mantello (actor/director)
    Cicely Tyson (actress)

This year’s induction ceremony will be held on November 12 at the Gerswhin Theatre. Three-time Tony nominee Dana Ivey will host the event.
