That Best Play lineup is way better than what the Tonys will have this season.

Woot woot to Audra for her first Olivier nod.

Nathan Lane wasn’t nominated; interesting. Thanks so much for putting these up! I love the way the Oliviers show their nominees on their website! I will look at them now!

Like the Tonys a few years ago, Hamilton is now the most-nominated production in Olivier history, breaking the record set by Harry Potter And The Cursed Child.

Are the Olivier awards livestreamed anywhere online where we in the U.S. can watch? The Oliviers website is the best of all the awards websites!

    The facebook page, right?

I think Angels will take Revival and the 3 acting awards, plus directing, but maybe Mendes can take this one.

    Ferryman wins Play, hands down.

Hamilton wins Musical, Follies wins Revival.

Hamilton can win supporting actress and supporting actor, but I believe McCrea wins actor.

Actress in musical has to be Follies, not Imelda tho, she will win actress in Play.

It will be really sad that Garfield, McArdle and Gough won’t be there to get their prizes.

Very well deserved for The Ferryman, which I saw in December. It’s already the frontrunner for next year’s Tonys.

I will ask again: does anyone know if this will be livestreamed – or available afterwards – for U.S. viewership? I would so love to see this!

btw, the Olivier Awards website is one of the best ever! I love the use of the photographs with the nominees list! Makes me wish I was in London! (:

I’m surprised to see Bryan Cranston beat Andrew Garfield for Best Actor In Play, given all the buzz Angels in America has been getting. It’ll also be interesting to see how well The Ferryman will do at the 2019 Tonys.

Bryan Cranston and Laura Donnelly and Bertie Carvel all surprise me. Imelda Staunton lost in both categories. Interesting list of winners. Surprised that Denise Gough is the only acting winner from Angels.
