    Great opening song!

Odd when a major award like this is given our first.

That Mean Girls performance was awful. That was something Tina Fey would have made fun of in 30 Rock ten years ago. I guess money does talk. Nobody at Radio City was really enthused about that, not even the people affiliated with the show.

So Rachel Bloom totally stole that hat from Amy Sherman-Palladino right?

LMAO I called that Metcalf win last week in the Tonys thread. 1. Lead role in supporting. 2. Sympathy for Lady Bird losses 3. Sympathy for Roseanne getting her show axed. 4. The only one in the category people had heard of.

I had a feeling as the names were being called out that Laurie Metcalf’s name would be in the envelope… oh well… having seen the original production – and having read the play – I can say with total certainty that she belonged in the lead actress category and it is therefore a fraudulent win (not her fault; the nominating committee is to blame for it).

Loved the My Fair Lady production number! Well done, bravo! Lauren Ambrose’s vocal was amazing!

Hated the Mean Girls number, just terrible!

I underestimated that Metcalf name-check like crazy. I’m mad at myself for predicting Denise Gough, who I’ve never even heard of, purely because she was the frontrunner in Goldderby odds.

Lindsay Mendez! (: Worried that Ashley Park might win but was fairly certain it would go to Ms. Mendez!
