Overall, I’m disappointed that MJ is still going forward despite the explosive revelations from Leaving Neverland. I don’t know what’s worse: this, or the casting of Amar Ramasar in the revival of West Side Story despite being fired from the New York City Ballet for sexual misconduct. Either way, both cases show that Broadway is trying to pretend the #MeToo movement doesn’t exist, and they really can’t afford to stick their heads in the sand like ostriches anymore.October 16, 2019 at 2:18 pm #1203140007

Imelda Staunton & Jenna Russell are both set to star in a new West End production of Hello, Dolly! (which in no way will be affiliated with the most recent Broadway revival) that will begin performances on August 11th.

Does anyone know why Imelda Staunton hasn’t been on Broadway yet? She’s had a phenomenal run of U.S. classic plays and musicals on the West End in the last 10 years, from Sweeney Todd to Good People to Gypsy to Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? to Follies and now Hello, Dolly! that I am really surprised none of these productions have transferred when so many other productions have crossed the pond during that time.November 24, 2019 at 6:54 pm #1203201353
