The recent revival of Cabaret is getting RAVE reviews. Eddie Redmayne is being called as the MVP while Jessie Buckley seems to give her own definitive version of Sally Bowles. The only criticism is the ticket price, but I guess they still have their audience.

Sad for the Macbeth duo but these are otherwise pretty solid nominations! Emma Corrin is quite an inspiring choice for Anna X and I’m glad Jumbo is getting the recognition she deserves.

Going to be interesting to see Anything Goes and Cabaret going head to head with each other. I assume the latter probably has the upper hand.

Jessie Buckley gave the best performance I have ever seen on stage in 30 years of theatre going. I hope she, her costars and the production sweep their categories.

I’m hearing McKeon could upset in that category but who knows?

This may very well be the highest percentage of first time acting and directing nominees in decades… very few well known performers!

Life of Pi looks really interesting – any chance of a Broadway production?

Nice to see Liz Carr among the nominees.

I love the look of the nominees listings on their website; wish the Tonys would do something similar!

Last year, the Tonys website did at least show pictures of almost all of the nominees, even the ones in the technical categories.

I see a Cabaret sweep. I’ve only heard amazing things about the production. I really hope it transfers to Broadway because I’d love to see Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley in the lead roles.
