What’s a theatre moment you’ve seen that truly left you speechless, feeling the power of the moment? For me, it is the end of ‘The Ferryman,’ wow.

Cynthia Erivo’s entire performance in The Color Purple, which especially culminated in her eleven o’clock number, ‘I’m Here’.

    – You Will be Found – Dear Evan Hansen
    – Everybody loves a Musical – Something Rotten
    – Final scene – The Octoroon
    – Act 2 – Head of Passes (basically one 40 minute monologue for Phylicia Rashad and it was ASTOUNDING)
    – Don’t do Sadness – Spring Awakening
    – Why we Tell the Story – Once on this Island
    – I tragically didn’t get to see this in person, but National Theater Live aired a recording of Gillian Anderson’s Streetcar Named Desire from i think 2014 and it WRECKED ME. So for one moment, I’ll pick the classic “I’ve always depended on the kindness of strangers”

Off the top of my head, but I’m sure there are more. I fucking love the theater.

I remember the first ten minutes of the 1994 Carousel revival at Lincoln Center being spellbinding “total theater”. They created a world right in front of us, with that wonderful full orchestra pounding out one of the greatest Rodgers waltzes.
