So they put the Tony Awards right up against Miss USA? Not cool CBS and NBC.
Not cool to NBC not CBS. Tonys have been on this date for years now.June 8, 2014 at 1:29 pm #433038
Now for some reason, Jennifer Hudson will be doing the performance from Finding Neverland.
Now wait, but Jennifer Hudson is a Broadway star. Oh wait, scratch that. But she’s performed on Broadway, nope wait, again. OK well she’s had a string of hit movies. Nope, again, hold off on that.
Yeah, people know who she is and can sing. I guess that’s why?June 8, 2014 at 2:22 pm #433039
I’d like to think J-HUD is there tonight for three reasons: a possible future Broadway run (yay! but don’t have it be “Dreamgirls”); she’s played a Tony-winning actress on television before (lol); she won’t let Fantasia have even a moment in the spotlight to herself (still bitter I guess, j/k; they’re close in real-life, and either way, I think we know now and forever who ended up with the better deal there).June 8, 2014 at 2:30 pm #433040

1. Only if it’s in an all-singing role. Great voice, but when it comes to acting, well, (in my opinion) bless her heart haha
In other words, I love this post 🙂June 8, 2014 at 2:52 pm #433041
Tech winners arriving shortly!June 8, 2014 at 3:02 pm #433042
And to get folks in the mood, BuzzFeed posted a list of the top Tony performances since 1967 (that are also on the YouTubes). Not a bad list and #1 of course is still spine-tingling. I do wish Sara Ramirez doing Find Your Grail was on there too, but, oh well, you can’t always get what you want 🙂June 8, 2014 at 4:27 pm #433043

I was about to change my predictions, but the prediction center’s closed. Probably smart, because I always second-guess myself.June 8, 2014 at 4:47 pm #433045
