After having recently concluded his long run as Henry Higgins in Lincoln Center Theatre’s Broadway revival of My Fair Lady last month, Tony nominee Harry Hadden-Paton will star opposite his real-life wife, Rebecca Knight, as King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in the upcoming North American premiere of David Seidler’s The King’s Speech in Chicago.
Interestingly enough, Colin Firth starred as King George VI in Tom Hooper’s 2010 Academy Award-winning film that was inspired by Seidler’s then-unproduced play, and he was the first choice for a lot of people to play Henry Higgins when LCT first announced their My Fair Lady revival.August 11, 2019 at 9:30 am #1203019413
