A stage musical adaptation of the 1990’s CBS sitcom, The Nanny, is in the works. The musical will feature a book co-written by the show’s original creators, Fran Drescher & Peter Marc Jacobson, and a score by Tony nominee Adam Schlesinger (Cry-Baby) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend creator Rachel Bloom. Marc Bruni, who was the director behind Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, will be at the helm of it all.

The actor playing Niles won’t be able to get out of Daniel Davis’ shadow. His British accent was so convincing even British fans of the show had no idea he was actually American.
