I don’t know why people have such a problem with the Hamilton performance.

I thought it was perfectly representative of the show. It showcased the emotion, the movement, the music. My only complaint is that Leslie Odom didn’t get enough to do.

Why wasn’t my Leslie Odom, Jr. prediction counted and I got no points there?

The same thing happened to me. I switched to Odom from Burstein on Saturday. And yet the prediction wasn’t counted.

I switched to Leslie weeks ago. It’s weird. People who have more mistakes than I do are way ahead of me in the final list.

I got 20 out of 24 right. My only wrong predictions were:

Best Costume Design Of A Play (I predicted Long Day’s Journey Into Night)
Best Lighting Design Of A Play (I predicted A View From The Bridge)
Best Actor In A Musical (I predicted Danny Burstein for Fiddler On The Roof)
Best Revival Of A Musical (I predicted She Loves Me)

As for my favorite performances and acceptance speeches, here they are.

    Top 5 Favorite Performances:
    1. Hamilton
    2. Waitress
    3. The Color Purple
    4. Spring Awakening
    5. School Of Rock

    Top 5 Acceptance Speeches:
    1. Frank Langella
    2. Lin-Manuel Miranda
    3. Renee Elise Goldsberry
    4. Cynthia Erivo
    5. Leslie Odom, Jr.

“The Schuyler Sisters” ending performance was so much better than the one they did in the middle of the show.

Agreed! I thought “Yorktown” was an odd choice of number to perform, and it didn’t pay off for me. I understand they wanted to highlight the ensemble, but they had so many opportunities to do so throughout the broadcast (unlike the other shows) that they should have done one of the more memorable, viral songs from the show as their main performance, like “The Room Where it Happens.” Talk about the perfect song to perform at the Tony Awards!

They were rehearsing “Wait For It”. I wonder what happened.
