Obviously, the only one of those options that’s been seen by the most people was Liza Minnelli in the 1972 film adaptation. She 0f course was the best sung Sally Bowles of them all. As for the other options, I had to look up clips of each of them on YouTube. I ended up finding three videos of the song ‘Perfectly Marvelous’ performed by Jane Horrocks, Natasha Richardson, and Emma Stone. I think I like Jane’s rendition the most, although I thought Emma’s personality worked very well with that song.

I have seen Horrocks’ one on Youtube (the full production was on there at one point) and found her to be quite impressive but the vulnerability and transformation shown in Richardson’s portrayal gave me goosebumps. I see she won the Tony. Seems like it was very deserved.

Jane. Natasha’s is right up there. Liza’s is great for the direction the film went, but not at all right for Kander and Ebb’s intentions.

I found Jane Horrocks kind of monstrous in the role. The problem with most of the Natasha Richardson clips (our only real visual for most of us since most of us didn’t see her live) was that most of them that are 90s-era pro shot quality were filmed early on in her run and she herself said she’s done a much better job later on in the run, so we don’t really get to see her at the height of her performance run.
