Is Maisel a big deal in Australia? Surprised to see it over the Taika comedies.

I wouldn’t say it’s a big deal but I feel like Prime is a bit more relevant than it has been so that might account for it getting a late surge here. We really like a costume drama.

House of The Dragon missing is more of a red flag I think. Australians were obsessed with the original run of Game of Thrones and there’s an Australian acting connection in Alcock (who missed both domestically for the second season of Upright and potentially here).

Weatherall won supporting (Majoos did get nominated but didn’t win in lead) so I think they just really like him. Weatherall has the more dramatic turn compared to Majoos as well who is often comic relief.

HH is best described as Australian Sex Ed so I would say it is not dissimilar to Gatwa/Butterfield in comedy

I love how The White Lotus S2 has been limited at the Globes, drama at Critics Choice and Comedy at AACTA. The guilds are gonna be equally messy with it being in limited at PGA+WGA, drama at SAG, and possibly comedy at DGA.

TCA really should decide on a category before voting this time around lol.
