December 8, 2021 at 9:02 am #1204637310If Boris resigns over it (as he should) then that will be nominated for Must See Moment – no question
Akin to Gogglebox’s nomination this year for reactions to lockdown measures, because it’s a huge talking point beyond TV but a moment that sums up the nations mood about it so succinctly.

December 8, 2021 at 9:21 am #1204637346Just seen episode one of Landscapers
This is getting nominated for sure in Mini Series. It’s got the right amount of quirkiness and humour within it to go the distance.
Colman stands a great shot at a nomination, but I think Thewlis is the one definitely getting in – and could even be the only one to topple Olly Alexander.

December 10, 2021 at 10:56 am #1204642436I thought with pretty much everything aside from the broadcasters’ festive programming having come to air… why not re-open the predictions centre? After we do these polls I’ll post another set one last time just before nominations are announced in March so people can make final predictions if they want to.
Actress in a Leading Role poll
Actress in a Supporting Role poll
Per usual if there are any names you’d like to see added to the final poll in March or you feel they’ve been left out please let me know. You can choose a max of four options in the drama series, mini-series and scripted comedy categories and a max of six in the three acting ones. Deadline next Friday.
Next week I will post the supporting actor and the two comedy performance polls. I would do them now but compiling that supporting actor list was so TIRING.
Happy predicting!

Did Watkins get in anywhere else for Des? That’s a good nom, very easy for everyone to just go with Tennant.

I don’t think he did.
I thought all three of Mays, Tennant and Watkins were fantastic. Tennant more so than the other two but it was still some of the best work I’ve seen of either of them. The show’s BAFTA shut out is so weird.
