    You should!

Likewise yourself with Little Boy Blue, Marvellous, Murdered by My Boyfriend, This is England ’90 and Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies 😉

Joking aside, I’m planning to watch Happy Valley properly when Series 3 airs.

I actually have been meaning to watch This is England for a while because I do really like Jack Thorne, Shane Meadows and Stephen Graham’s collaborations with each other. It feels like something that I need to be in the right mood for though.

FYC: Better Call Saul and The Good Fight in all categories including Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

That’s true; it can be very hard-hitting at times, but the film and spinoffs are excellent.

Marvellous is probably the only ‘light’ programme I can suggest from the ones I mentioned earlier lol

I obviously have nothing against Sean Harris and especially Sarah Lancashire (who deserved a BAFTA, maybe even two, for her work on Last Tango in Halifax) but looking at the nominees and winners for that year and seeing that Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant not only did not win for the first season of Broadchurch but also weren’t even nominated saddens me. Especially considering I thought their performances personally were stronger than the one Bradley (who was also very good) won for.

FYC: Better Call Saul and The Good Fight in all categories including Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

Jon Pointing’s performance in Big Boys is simply stunning, especially in its last episode. So unexpected, and hope it’s remembered when BAFTA rolls round next year.

FYC: "What We Do in the Shadows" and "Severance" in everything, Natasha Rothwell ("Insecure"), Sophie Thatcher ("Yellowjackets"), Renee Elise Goldsberry ("Girls5eva"), James Caverly, ("Only Murders in the Building")

2014: Nicola Walker – Last Tango In Halifax

Although I wouldn’t have gone with Walker as the winner of that category that year I do agree that she was the stronger supporting actress in Last Tango in Halifax season 2 and I’m actually quite surprised she won over Lancashire considering how showy her tape likely would have been.

Still can’t complain though! Lancashire was excellent and honestly even nomination worthy on all five seasons of the show even as the show wasn’t as much (imo) itself towards the end of its run. She could recite a shopping list and I’d still be compelled.

FYC: Better Call Saul and The Good Fight in all categories including Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

I think Lancashire winning the year before for me adds more stock to Walker winning when she’s nominated. I hope she gets a BAFTA win soon (ideally in lead) as she’s consistently one of the best performers on British television.
