Is The Tourist limited or drama?
Limited. I agree with Wolfali though. It’s a fun watch but not the sort of thing that happens at BAFTA. It will probably happen at the smaller AACTA field in Australia though this is very in their wheelhouse.

January 19, 2022 at 5:33 pm #1204739252I’m not sure if this is the right thread for it but I’m excited for Life After Life (BBC One) Directed by John Crowley (Boy A, Brooklyn, The Goldfinch) starring Thomasin McKenzie, Sian Clifford, Jessica Brown-Fidlay, Jessica Hynes and James McArdle. Its reported to air this year. Some first look:

That is a great book to adapt.

As a miniseries, maybe. But the plotline sounds too messy. You’re referring to Kate Atkinson’s Life After Life right?

Yeah. I mean it would need to be done well but it could definitely make for a good mini-series

January 24, 2022 at 2:21 am #1204746221Been catching up on a few 2022 shows the past week (I’ve been busy finishing shows to collate my personal best of 2021 nominations, which are now available to see on my social media, details below)
Four Lives
Angering and haunting drama. Brilliantly told with as little perspective on the perpetrator as possible which is so welcomed. Very strong Mini Series contender with BAFTA.The Tourist
I had a lot of fun with this. This first three episodes are stronger than the second half but Dornan is great. Danielle Macdonald is the real MVP of this show though. Loved her in this.Anne
Maxine Peake is probably going to sweep all the awards for this. She’s undeniably incredible here. Very moving show and I still have two episodes to go!ReplyCopy URLCheck out more of my thoughts on Twitter (@AMG_Review) and Instagram (amg_reviews)
January 24, 2022 at 1:56 pm #1204747106Have now finished Anne and it’s going to have to take someone delivering an insanely special performance to overtake Maxine Peake in Best Actress. Undeniable.
