I might be semi-retired… but that doesn’t mean I can’t still put out my awards, especially now that the Emmy ballots have been made public!

Here is a quick refresher of the awards for my rules.

It has to be a television show released between June 1st 2021 and May 31st 2022 (if some episodes fall beyond May 31st but first aired during the eligibility time, then I will allow it)

The longlists below feature at the minimum 10 and at the maximum 20 different shows or performances that I am considering in every category, with a maximum of 3 entries per show in every category.

Animated shows can compete in both Best Drama or Comedy Series and Animated Program providing that the episode they submit for Animated Program is now among the 6 episodes that they submit for in Drama or Comedy Series. Likewise the episode they submit for Animated Program is ineligible from being submitted in Directing or Writing.

And as always… THIS IS MY OPINION. You do not have to agree with my opinion, but that does not mean that I should get insults or hatred for my opinions. I am not claiming that my opinion is factual or superior to the opinions of others.

If there is a submission that you think I missed, then feel free to let me know. I will consider changing the longlist if I feel that said submission deserves a slot.

If I think of more rules I will submit them above.

I do not have the time to submit all the longlists right now as I am going to go watch Lightyear PDQ, but tune in tomorrow (June 18th, 2022) and you should see them.

FYC: "Peaches" from The Super Mario Bros. Movie for Best Original Song
(Yes, really. MAKE IT HAPPEN OSCARS!)

Please note that some of the choices are expected to change. I am a fickle fool who changes his mind on occasion. None of these choices are 100% set in stone. Will wait til about July-ish to start to finalize the nominations.

And while you are waiting, click here to see an archive of all my awards from 2004 onward.

    Wrong Star Trek, guy.

No doubt. I should not have released the nominations in that state. Still need a bit more finalization. It’s always hard every year, and I was just a little overwhelmed by the actual Creative Arts nominations that I wanted to ride the hype train but I think I will need to think about it further and release them again sometime this weekend.

I still liked the new season of Discovery, but it’s kind of a controversial season, so I will have to rethink that. Honestly there are a lot of shows I like this year, and only coming up with between 5-8 in every category is really hard.
