My major conundrum: Do I predict “The Watcher”, which I loved but was not the best thing I have seen all year since it has Watts and Coolidge. Martindale was an easy choice for me as she was my fav performance on the show and all of the limited series stuff besides egerton and peters and nash.

Almost definitely, there’s been no indication. It’s pretty far down the production cycle though and SAG likes them so I would imagine they’ll run later in the year.

I have Watts right now, but the fact that it didn’t get her or Cannavale in at SAG is concerning because of how much they like Netflix and how often they recognize popular shows with huge visibility. Some of their competition from the winter awards won’t be eligible at the Emmys, but by the time this cycle properly kicks off I feel like The Watcher will be a distant memory… it already feels like one now.

The Bear in Comedy while White Lotus is in drama reaffirms that category submission should be less about episode length and more about, yknow, whether or not something is comedic.
