Overall I really liked The Bear, but I thought the narrative was kinda repetitive. Like I said, should have more episodes.
Also, what a waste of Jon Bernthal. They could have done something great with his character.

If it hits there’s no reason we shouldn’t predict at least something. Please! These gays, they're trying to murder me!
January 24, 2023 at 3:40 pm #1205264916Lol. In this competitive climate of Abbott, Hacks and Only Murders…Ted Lasso just doesn’t have the vernacular to be doing this.
For other comedies maybe. I think Ted Lasso (and probably Succession) plays by different rules and as soon as screeners drop they will be watched by everyone.
Rumor is with Apple sponsoring the Super Bowl halftime show that’s when they will drop the Ted Lasso season 3 trailer- if they go that route they will make up for any past missed marketing.

This five year old sketch resonates with a lot of shows in this years comedy race. LOL.

I think Sudeikis could greatly benefit from being present on the upcoming circuit. It has been a tricky year for him with the fallout from his divorce defining the 2022 pop culture zeitgeist. Personally, I found the stunt he pulled with the papers a little distasteful. And then whispers from rumor hill of him being difficult on production – demanding the season 3 script be rewritten causing delays to the release.
January 25, 2023 at 6:45 am #1205266094Jason Sudeikis didn’t define shit in 2022. Olivia Wilde made that happen when she decided to create her own controversies surrounding her film leaving her family drama behind. Sudeikis (his costar, director and show) still won Emmys *after* that child support document fiasco (which even happened during voting? Maybe?). And didn’t that nanny also come out after that with a controversy that again put Wilde in a bad place?
January 25, 2023 at 7:05 am #1205266119I didn’t pay attention to the details, all I remember is I couldn’t escape the news. There was always something or the other. I definitely sympathize with Olivia wilde, that controversy swallowed her movie (though it didn’t hurt the box office.) My concern was that it might do the same for him IF he stays absent from the campaign.
