Hmm, if viewership is up, I think engagement must be down (as we said, there wasn’t much to chat about with that ep) because that looks pretty flat. Interesting to see how it goes when we get to the more important parts of the season.

The article reports that Apple haven’t released any of their own internal figures yet like they did for season 2 so it is possible that it is a measure of how many people are watching on their television and they’re down overall in streams but it’s very solid regardless still (especially seeing how muted the pre-hype to the season was as opposed to say Succession).

I never saw anything from Samba but The Bear made Nielsen for a single week.
However, you can kind of tell from IMDB and Wikipedia it has longtailed through the year, Wayback has it at just 14K votes on day 28 and it’s in the 80s now.

It’s crazy how variety sketch series is usually the most barren category at the Emmys every year and now this year it has like 10 viable contenders lol.

So Apple/Ted Lasso signed a licensing deal to include use of Premier League logos and footage in the show this season. And apparently it must have included the teams actually doing marketing for the show because wow. And brilliant.

That is brilliant marketing especially if other teams get involved. Instant 40m audience one instagram post to people who in theory would be inclined to watch. The comments are funny as Chelsea have been struggling and they are all that Ted would do better as their coach than the current coach lol
