I’d love to see Luke Kirby have the material to pull off another nomination but I just can’t see past the main three

Will he be guest eligible again though? He was not on the series regulars press release. He certainly has a much better shot of getting in guest actor.

I am not sure, I saw he was in supporting on the predictions centre and based on that. Definitely a better shot if he is able to contend at guest

Netflix FYC site is up, Dead To Me is not listed as a priority.

I wonder if part of that is Christina’s desire/capacity to actively FYC at this stage. I’m not sure it would necessarily change much (maybe for Linda)

Plus it is inherently an acting play. Almost no one has it in series.

Beef has not yet appeared on the FYC website. Has Netflix not yet decided which category it will submit this series to?

It looks like all of the shows on the FYC site are those that have already been released so I probably wouldn’t read into it much since Beef comes out next week.

I’m sure they’ll be adding and making changes as we progress through the rest of the season.

Yes that’s what they do every year.

Ah, got it. I’ve never really paid attention to FYC sites so wasn’t sure that’s how Netflix usually goes about doing things.

They do have I Think You Should Leave Up but yeah, I presume maybe they’re just waiting.

I do think this year is quite a bit more focused than last years cycle where they were kind of throwing everything at the wall outside of their top priorities. Netflix in my opinion tend to fare better when they pick a lane and commit to it. Something like That 90s Show could easily be there for multi-cam but they’ve gotten in The Upshaws before so it’s realistic to stick with it.

Give Natasha Lyonne every award. She’s tremendous. I’m conflicted about the show’s category placement tho.

I find their decision making perplexing. They might struggle for drama series but Lyonne would be a near lock in that field whereas I think it’s not unrealistic to say Comedy Actress is the most competitive category this year.

wait you’ve talked down on Blanchett, Butler and Ortega whilst praising Gomez. You aren’t even worth my further time, knock yourself out worrying about my opinions lol.

I never talked down about jenna and i only dragged cate stans being racists to michelle, not cate.

    Take the L and go

Where’s everyone at with Maisel? What are you predicting? Is anyone going past the main three nominees that have gotten in every year?

Only actress, show and writing maybe, couple technical categories, but supporting actress for Borstein is still a mystery with so much competition.

I’d struggle to drop Shalhoub and Borstein regardless of how the season pans out. It’s rare the Emmys drop previous winners.

That Borstein is a mystery to you is rather telling.
