If the reviews are good, I might start predicting Alex Bornstein to win her third trophy. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel feels like a show that will get a farewell win somewhere.

I am aware, but I speak of her supreme comedic abilities, rewards for which have been unjustly taken away from her, and hope for consideration for past indiscretions at this ceremony. The acting community should disavow submission in categories in which she is placed, perhaps all.

I was fortunate to chat with 6 voters in the actors peer group about this years race. I know 6 out of 2000+ means jack, but it’s still a little insight so…
The Bear is good, but slightly overhyped. Not their first choice for series. But all are in for Jeremy Allen white , 4/6 are selecting Ayo Edebiri
Ted Lasso is disappointing this season… they were expecting more from Juno Temple in particular
None were able to finish Wednesday, Jenna Ortega was only on one persons ballot because they like her as a person
Christina Applegate was a 6/6 yes, but only Applegate. There was no enthusiasm for Linda Cardellini and Dead to Me as a series sadly.
Steve Martin & Martin Short 6/6. All except one said yes to Selena, but positive feedback for: her performance, this season overall, and her as a person.
Unanimous positive reception for Abbott Elementary. Very impressed with how much work Quinta Brunson has to put in as actor, writer and show runner. Really pushing for Lisa Ann Walter nomination too — both 6/6 yes.
Only two saw Poker Face, and both liked what they saw so are putting her down. The rest weren’t Natasha Lyonne fans

And there’s a frequently hotly contested debate of Steve Martin vs Martin Short amongst the voters overall. They were actually poking fun of it in their SAG bit. So I wouldn’t anticipate either to win cos of this vote split.

It has it’s moments but overall it’s just okay.

This is very interesting! Did they say anything about Elle, Nicholas, and The Great overall? This is good news for Selena and I expect that the her name being everywhere and being constantly praised will only help her and the show. I’m disappointed about Linda but I hope that she can still pull off a nod.
