Is this her real life voice ? She sounds so different …
I would say that’s sort of her (possibly inadvertent by slightly more refined) “I’m filming a thing/taking a telephone call” voice, if that makes sense. I’ve listened to her on 90 minute podcasts and she’ll settle in to a NYC accent that sounds a bit more familiar (this is not a criticism because I am super prone to doing this depending on the scenario too).
April 1, 2023 at 11:47 am #1205373490It is unfortunate they do not have the youth of people like Lena Headey or Madagas Florianni
Sorry…. Madagas Florianni is?
April 1, 2023 at 11:53 am #1205373500I’m becoming more and more confident on Lisa Ann Walter taking one of those supporting actress nominations.
April 1, 2023 at 12:02 pm #1205373507A question on supporting actress.
Is Juno Temple a lock no matter what? Because I generally love her and I’m not even sure she’d be in my eight at the moment (she’s not the problem, she just has no material).

They played her dirty this season

In fairness she’s been working a lot on other things so she might have ended up with a storyline that suited her circumstances.

April 1, 2023 at 12:38 pm #1205373545Actually it wouldn’t surprise me to see Ted Lasso‘s acting nominations haul just be Sudeikis, Waddingham, Goldstein, Mohammed and two or three guests with both the return of the restricted ballot and the dispassionate response the season has received so far. That being said I think with McKinnon, Einbinder and Niles not in the arena this year and the category having 8 slots that Temple could just end up being in irrespective of whether apathy has settled into the show or not. Whilst I wouldn’t say I’m neccessarily confident about the supporting actress lineup I have been predicting, it’s the one comedy lineup I haven’t changed since we found out Hacks was skipping eligibility because I think it’s one that I finding hard to really draft out a solid top 10 in.
Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!
April 1, 2023 at 12:48 pm #1205373558Regardless of the storyline giving Mohammed more to do this season, I still think Temple is ahead of him when it comes to likelihood of nomination.

We were discussing the possibility of her winning last season, and even if she hasn’t gotten great material, she’s a fan favorite and one of the most beloved characters. The writers would have to put her on a pretty actively bad streak to cost her a nod.
FYC: Bad Sisters (Anne-Marie Duff) Cunk on Earth (Diane Morgan), Fleishman Is in Trouble (Lizzy Caplan/Claire Danes), Industry (Marisa Abela/Myha'la Herrold), Physical (Rose Byrne), Poker Face (Ellen Barkin/Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Chloë Sevigny), The White Lotus (Sabrina Impacciatore)
April 1, 2023 at 12:56 pm #1205373563Despite the reception, I’d assume Temple is safe based on the fact that voters tend to max out nominations for their favorite shows rather than single candidates out, and Lasso is a darling.

Tbf she was the one with material while Waddingham’s whole plot was to text on a phone until her big episode (which Waddingham ATE).
Temple’s arc this season is so boring, and if it goes like this for the whole season then she COULD miss, but even then I’m doubtful, supporting actress just doesn’t have that much people waiting to get in.He lives in you, he lives in me, he watches over everything we see.
