Into the water, into the truth, in your reflection, he lives in you.April 1, 2023 at 3:40 pm #1205373656Thought it was an april’s fool joke for a sec when I saw it on twitter lol.
A Negroni. Sbagliato. With Prosecco in it.
April 1, 2023 at 3:51 pm #1205373660Taraji coming to complete two thirds of the triple crown in one awards cycle!

April 1, 2023 at 3:57 pm #1205373662SNL is about to be ended once and for all we love to see it.
April 1, 2023 at 4:13 pm #1205373673Has anyone confidently put poker face in their predictions? I want to but I’m apprehensive because of how brutally Russian Doll S2 was snubbed even, after Natasha Lyonne campaigned hard
fair pay for writers.
April 1, 2023 at 4:27 pm #1205373677Abbott could be the dark horse that dethrones Ted Lasso. Not just because of quality, but also the fact that a victory would show Network series are still strong. I think it’ll get a lot of support cos of that…
i don’t see a lot of evidence showing that the industry is passionate about proving the power of network shows.

I am leaving PF out for now based on that bloodbath — RD went from 12 nominations (3 primetime, 9 creative arts) to 1 mere CA.
April 1, 2023 at 4:45 pm #1205373689Russian Doll s2 ended a three-year hiatus with an unceremonious dump on a Wednesday that wasn’t really promoted much by Netflix. I highly doubt it had much to do with Lyonne herself. Success in film doesn’t always translate to TV (just ask Damien Chazelle), but Rian Johnson’s other mystery-comedy series has received multiple nominations at the Oscars and a ton of other organizations. Poker Face is already being promoted a TON by Peacock, and I imagine that’ll only increase when we get closer to voting. If Poker Face is excluded, I doubt it means voters have anything against Lyonne.
FYC: Bad Sisters (Anne-Marie Duff) Cunk on Earth (Diane Morgan), Fleishman Is in Trouble (Lizzy Caplan/Claire Danes), Industry (Marisa Abela/Myha'la Herrold), Physical (Rose Byrne), Poker Face (Ellen Barkin/Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Chloë Sevigny), The White Lotus (Sabrina Impacciatore)

MTE… I cant think of a show, at least not at the top of my head, that had such an abrupt fall off…
fair pay for writers.
April 1, 2023 at 4:47 pm #1205373694I think Peacock / NBC push hard for Lyonne at a minimum and probably the show
It has been their biggest break through original shows on Nielsen streaming and is one of the most viewed comedy titles
They don’t have much else to push
Man I wish Cuoco was this year instead of last against Smart
April 1, 2023 at 4:51 pm #1205373699maybe because of a major global event that occurred a few months prior, voters weren’t comfortable choosing RUSSIAN doll… did you ever think of that??
For Your Emmy Consideration:
Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook - Succession
Selena Gomez - Only Murders in the Building
Elizabeth Olsen - Love & DeathApril 1, 2023 at 4:52 pm #1205373701maybe because of a major global event that occurred a few months prior, voters weren’t comfortable choosing RUSSIAN doll… did you ever think of that??
LOL I know this is a joke but why is this kinda… plausible
fair pay for writers.
April 1, 2023 at 4:53 pm #1205373703I mean you have peer groups of executives, publicists and casting directors who work for the networks and compete with streamers constantly…
Broadcast Networks 2022: The Year Everyone Started To Wave The White Flag
Of the Big Three, only CBS has a dedicated programming executive for the broadcast network – Amy Reisenbach,. In contrast, Craig Erwich oversees programming for both ABC and Hulu (as well Disney Branded Entertainment fare for Disney+), while Susan Rovner’s job is to lord over shows on Peacock, USA and Syfy as well as NBC, which is already considering whether to save money by giving up the 10 p.m. hour. “As networks have become just another part of a larger corporations, there are fewer people who give a damn.”
April 1, 2023 at 4:55 pm #1205373707With Taraji playing Janine’s mom, we have the show’s first Emmy win confirmed for this year.
"EGOT" and "Triple Crown of Acting" winner: VIOLA DAVIS!!!!
April 1, 2023 at 4:55 pm #1205373709Russian Doll also received lukewarm reviews compared to the first season (it went from 4 TCA nominations to 0 and didn’t factor at all on the end of year aggregate after being top 10 for season 1). Comparatively Poker Face is one of the most acclaimed shows of the entire awards cycle.
