I like Gomez and am rooting for her but her status does not warrant pages of discussion, this is a group board covering dozens of shows and dozens of performers.
100% agree with you. Root for who you want to root, vote and discuss about the actors with respect.
This is not reddit.

They do their ATL/BTLs alphabetically and they moved it from yesterday so that doesn’t mean it’s prioritised over Wednesday, but yeah it is prioritised over Dead to Me. Mo is renewed (and I don’t know if Wednesday will make next cycle) so that does make sense.
Beef has to be being considered for limited I think if that’s the case (which would be great because the category desperately needs it)?
Mo is A24 and putting two POC A24 male leads against each other internally is really odd strategy that doesn’t really align with A24 recently.
March 28, 2023 at 2:13 am #1205366811Some of you should have been around in 2004 when the supporting actress comedy series nominees were: Kim Cattrall – Sex & the City Kristin Davis – Sex & the City Megan Mullally – Will & Grace Cynthia Nixon – Sex & the City Doris Roberts – Everybody Loves Raymond There was a lot of bickering, um I mean discussion.
I wish I were. Being on GoldDerby in the aughts seems amazing.
Emmys FYC:
Comedy: The Bear, Cunk on Earth, Only Murders in the Building, Reservation Dogs
Drama: The Last of Us, Stranger Things
Limited/Movie:

To be fair, it is the people who can’t stand her merely being complimented that trigger the floods…

Honestly, I concur with you, Jacob. I’d love to see the archives.

Ah 2004 the year of utter dominance for Angels in America. What a cast!
It is shocking that Cattrall never won, how frustrating being nominated five years in a row without success.
Was it the same level of bickering/debate in 05 for the Desperate Housewives women?
March 28, 2023 at 4:49 am #1205366901Lol. Joining earlier than others doesn’t make you superior or smarter. Go to bed grandpa.
I’m 24 lmao.
Go back to stan twitter.
March 28, 2023 at 4:57 am #1205366912Wondering how the Sex & The City girls could’ve had a such hold on the Emmys, but now the Television Academy has no interest in recognising the reboot series..
The response was pretty variable. HUGE commercial hit though.

yep HBO max’s biggest show at the time. I think variable is pretty kind though 5.7 on IMDb and 29% audience on RT. Not the same show without Samantha Jones

March 28, 2023 at 11:25 am #1205367194Although it isn’t listed yet, Netflix have created an FYC page for Beef with it categorised in comedy.
https://series.netflixawards.com/comedy-series/beef
No page for either The Diplomat or the limited series from the Unorthodox creator yet.
Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

I’m still confused why they’re beefing tho

From the initial confrontation/road rage in the car park. I had not realised this was made by a24 and not Netflix. I have much more faith this will get in the mix for awards now knowing that
March 28, 2023 at 12:29 pm #1205367251If Beef is any kind of audience hit I think Netflix will give it an early renewal and submit it in comedy.
Netflix need a comedy series with genuine awards potential far more than they need an acclaimed limited series, especially with so many comedy heavy hitters ending this year – this category will open right up soon enough.
