It seems that Curb Your Enthusiasm will end after Season 12: https://tvline.com/2023/03/28/curb-your-enthusiasm-cancelled-final-season-12-ending-hbo/

March 28, 2023 at 2:02 pm #1205367367I’m surprised this was even announced honestly. Always thought of Curb as having a blank cheque if they just wanted to do another if they felt like it, considering how lax they were about hiatuses and having like 3 different finales over the 11 seasons, over 22 years at this point lol. End of an era. I honestly think of Curb and Sopranos as the revolutionary comedy and the revolutionary drama that HBO was built on.

it has 12 seasons? oh shook
March 28, 2023 at 2:27 pm #1205367390It seems like everyone is leaving HBO lately. Of course Barry was planned for a while to end this season, but together with Succession and Curb… Could it be connected to the mass cancellations last year?
March 28, 2023 at 2:35 pm #1205367395Ah 2004 the year of utter dominance for Angels in America. What a cast!
It is shocking that Cattrall never won, how frustrating being nominated five years in a row without success.
Was it the same level of bickering/debate in 05 for the Desperate Housewives women?
Kim Cattrall’s best chance of winning based on submissions were 2002 and 2004.
There was a lottttttt of bickering about Lead Actress in a Comedy in 2005 with the following nominees:
Marcia Cross Desperate Housewives
Terri Hatcher Desperate Housewives
Patricia Heaton Everybody Loves Raymond
Felicity Huffman Desperate Housewives – WINNER
Jane Kaczmarek Malcolm in the MiddleBased on submissions, my vote would have been for Marcia Cross.
March 28, 2023 at 3:41 pm #1205367434Should Kerry Washington be getting more consideration?
Kerry Washington‘s comedy series #UnPrisoned seems to be resonating with viewers in the U.S. https://t.co/0riSUKBiVM

March 28, 2023 at 3:58 pm #1205367447in terms of viewership, some very clever pr wording in that statement ‘Hulu original’
It made Hulu’s top 10 in the US for two days and dropped out
That does of course not speak to the shows quality or not
March 28, 2023 at 5:32 pm #1205367496Should Kerry Washington be getting more consideration?
I mean this in the nicest way because I like the show and I think the press have been really shitty at ignoring it but the wording is highly specific and probably taken from a PR statement.
‘The series, which debuted on March 10, has now become Onyx Collective’s most-watched Hulu premiere to date. It is also the most-watched Hulu Original scripted series so far in 2023, in terms of hours watched, according to Onyx.”
it would neither be hard to be the most watched new Hulu original for the last three months (of which there have been two) or Onyx Collective show (of which there have been three).
I would watch Nielsen and see if it rates, it is an all in one drop so if it’s decent it should.

In fairness, Larry David is now in his late 70s.
March 28, 2023 at 7:20 pm #1205367542What are your predictions for Guest Actor and Actress in a comedy series so far?
Keke Palmer for her guest appearance in SNL seems like a strong contender, same as Ayo Edebiri for Abbott Elementary and Amy Ryan for Only Murders in the building.
March 28, 2023 at 7:33 pm #1205367548Not quite sure how SNL will fair this year in Guest (especially since they only managed 1 nom for Carmichael last year, which was more about his own individual buzz than the show itself), think some combo of Palmer, Brunson, Schumer and Chapelle are the likeliest for noms right.
March 28, 2023 at 8:05 pm #1205367555It seems that Curb Your Enthusiasm will end after Season 12
Definitely disappointing if true – and it sounds legitimate – but I’ll be really glad if they at least put a real button on the series instead of just letting a season end and then never doing another. If David landed on an idea he thought would work as a great final arc for Curb, I’ll be happy if it’s planned and announced as such.
Should Kerry Washington be getting more consideration?
Not sure about the visibility of this one, as it seemed to fly under the radar of critics and audiences, but I loved Washington in this show. Really great work handling the shifting tone, and she was terrific opposite Delroy.

March 28, 2023 at 9:01 pm #1205367609HBO seem to have merged their FYC site with HBO Max’s this year but either way it has launched and The Rehearsal seems to be submitting in comedy series and not variety sketch!

March 28, 2023 at 10:27 pm #1205367669Looks like the embargo has lifted on #Schmigadoon Season Two aka #Schmicago and I can finally share how much I enjoyed the hell out of it. While tonally different from the first season, Schmicago pays homage to musicals of the 60s & 70s. The Sweeney Todd scenes with Alan Cumming… pic.twitter.com/9GwTlS6sFr
