HBO seem to have merged their FYC site with HBO Max’s this year but either way it has launched and The Rehearsal seems to be submitting in comedy series and not variety sketch!

Slay incoming!
I like Schmigadoon so much, hoping for the best, maybe they repeat in Music & Lyrics, they only deliver bops.

Really great work handling the shifting tone, and she was terrific opposite Delroy.
She is and it is good.
I get pretty frustrated with the press about stuff like this that flies under the radar. They’re really uneven with covering POC led projects and this is a worthwhile show that could have used a boost.
March 29, 2023 at 2:26 am #1205367777I saw the first seven episodes of Abbott Elementary season 2 and so far Chris Perfetti and Lisa Ann Walter are my standouts.

March 29, 2023 at 9:15 am #1205368021Jayne Houdyshell deserves so much. That’s all I’m gonna be saying till nominations day. (I won’t be that annoying don’t worry)

March 29, 2023 at 10:05 am #1205368063Holy crap that Barry trailer.
March 29, 2023 at 10:12 am #1205368071Sudeikis and JAW feeling the heat of it
March 29, 2023 at 10:13 am #1205368073If only Carrigan and Winkler didn’t have to up against Goldstein.
I think Ted Lasso hasn’t been as strong to start the year but Goldstein (and Waddingham) are still so strong
I still think JAW but Hader could take it
March 29, 2023 at 10:55 am #1205368143Beef would fit more into a miniseries than a comedy series, especially when Steven Yeun rather make movies than tv shows nowadays.

Not only that but I could see the show underperforming as well

March 29, 2023 at 1:30 pm #1205368379I still think it’s the frontrunner for series but with the muted buzz it has received so far and underwhelming critical reception I’m curious to see whether the TCA nominate Ted Lasso or not. Granted we won’t know until we see the response Ted Lasso‘s finale (which no one other than the people working om it have seen) gets and critics don’t vote for the Emmys but that organisation has become quite sheep-ish as of late (even giving Dopesick their limited prize last year season 4 of The Crown their drama prize two years ago after snubbing it in program of the year and individual achievement) and they have given red flags in the past around how strong shows are with stuff like Maisel season 3 and Ozark season 3 getting snubbed just before they under-performed at the Emmys and even the penultimate season of Game of Thrones which ended up only winning drama series by a hair.
Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!
