Show is really huge
As someone who looks at online metrics for work the show is enormous. It’s a little early to call but it is not a stretch to suggest it’s going to be pushing House of The Dragon numbers in the US by year end. I also reasonably sure that they’ll announce a renewal this weekend at CCXP.
December 1, 2022 at 5:54 pm #1205174613And it’s so unbelievably impressive/crazy that Applegate was able to give that kind of performance after her MS diagnosis.
I was really impressed with how the show incorporated her diagnosis into this season. It felt like it was really done with dedication and respect to her as a performer. Most productions (and just workplaces in general) make the mistake of assuming that if you’re disabled you aren’t able to do anything without being limited to a corner and someone else helping to do it for you so it was really nice that they finished this season on her own terms.
FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

I really feel like inclusiveness around disability is lost in almost all diversity conversations to a huge degree.

I’ve seen everything in on your list sans Ghosts and I think my differences are:
-I’d definitly have Ayo in for The Bear.
-I am significantly less inclined towards She-Hulk than you are, but I also don’t think there are a bunch of early options. I think Maslany is solid enough I wouldn’t be angry if she got in and Guggenheim is a riot, though.
-I’d flip Ralph and Beetz.
December 1, 2022 at 8:30 pm #1205174732non-superhero shows classified as comedy, imdb this decade:
ted lasso 212k (apple)
only murders 101k (hulu)
emily in paris 91k (netflix)
upload 67k (prime)
space force 65k (netflix)
i am not okay with this 62k (netflix)
wednesday 60k (netflix)
never have i ever 59k (netflix)
the bear 58k (hulu)
flight attendant 56k (max)
Should be 4th place this week. Soon Emily in Paris won’t be Netflix’s biggest contribution.

I think we are quite similar on Wednesday – I don’t necessarily think the series is overly strong (though I thought it was fun TV and I get why it’s popular) but I think I would struggle to take out Ortega (but that’s a tough, tough field) and I think Christie is deceptively strong here.
It’s not that either are bad but Ricci doesn’t have much to work with outside of the finale (it’s also a little Yellowjackets-y) and CZJ shouldn’t be in supporting in the first place.
December 2, 2022 at 1:33 am #1205174918Give Christina Applegate her Emmy and call it good cause nothing is topping her performance this awards season.

If you go on wayback it was at 22K on Sunday (and that was a week where it had 50 million people watch it). Emily in Paris was at 12K on day 10 apparently.
I don’t think we’ve had a comedy this big this early for a while. I thought it would do well – you could tell from pre-release – but not like this.
