Nathan lane said in an interview that Gilded age won’t be back till September.
This makes sense. Even if it was ready there’s simply no room on HBO’s schedule (Mondays has already gone to Perry Mason and Rain Dogs, both of which are airing through to May, and HBO aren’t going to suddenly decide to put it on Sundays when they have Barry, Succession, The Last of Us and The White House Plumbers to sort out).
FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

It is actually starting in March (on the same night Perry Mason season 2 premieres).
FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

- The Last of UsFebruary 4, 2023 at 6:09 pm #1205284348Pascal is interesting because he has a lot of buzz but I don’t get the sense that much of the buzz is for his performance itself any more than him as an actor. I guess we’ll see how much material he ends up getting later in the season’s run but I wonder if he might be the welcome to the club nominee like Adam Scott was rather than the Lee Jung-jae of this year.
FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.
February 4, 2023 at 6:44 pm #1205284380He’s definitely going to get more material but I’m curious if he’s up to the challenge, I only know him from The Mandalorian which isn’t the most expressive role and Game of Thrones was so long ago I don’t really remember how he performed, so I’m curious what others think who have seen more of his performances. If he doesn’t win it definitely won’t be for lack of material.
February 5, 2023 at 3:35 am #1205284700Game of Thrones was so long ago I don’t really remember how he performed
My memory is so fucked up from operations + COVID that I didn’t even remembered he was in GOT until everybody started talking before TLOU, crazy.

February 5, 2023 at 4:54 pm #1205289610Happy Valley is a small show with a big heart. Sarah Lancashire gives the performance of the year and James Norton, Siobhan Finneran and Rhys Connah are all incredible.
Please go find this gem, created by Sally Wainwright!

February 5, 2023 at 5:17 pm #1205289825Apparently The Last of Us was the biggest premiere ever in Latin America on HBO.
(On the same side I don’t think HoTD was as popular as GoT in Latin America.)
February 6, 2023 at 4:01 am #1205293822Connie Britton is excellent in Dear Edward: satirizing an entitled woman who loses everything and has to figure out what family means. Taylor Schilling is also great in this ensemble about grief from Jason Katims. Worth seeing. Well written. #DearEdward pic.twitter.com/g64ycnUSFa

February 6, 2023 at 6:31 am #1205293972I watched the first three episodes this weekend and really enjoyed them. Britton is indeed the standout (she’s always great), but Colin O’Brien, who plays Edward, is very good too. Robin Tunney was also devastating in the pilot and would make a great guest actress nominee if she’s eligible, though I doubt it’ll happen.
I think it’s a worth a watch and wouldn’t be opposed to it catching on. Fans of This Is Us could gravitate towards it as it’s similar in the sense that it’s an ensemble driven show and it’s quite emotional. I didn’t find it manipulative or anything but I’m sure that’ll be the complaint, if there is any.

February 6, 2023 at 7:47 am #1205294051Showtime are trying to turn Dexter into the new Walking Dead 💀.
I wouldn’t be too opposed to this though if Lithgow is returning.
