    SAG is gonna be interesting, will they keep their love to Bateman or will they award Odenkirk? Remains to be seen.

    I really hope my prediction of Bateman there is wrong because the other four nominees out act him (and I’ve only seen one episode of The Old Man lol).

    FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.

    and something/someone like The Last of Us/Pascal potentially being too big to stop him. The momentum is there.

    Even then, it’s probably important to note that Pascal (who I love, sorry Pedro) is in his late 40s and his awards record is pretty average. Bella Ramsey has a better record on paper than he does.

    I’m very curious to see how The Last of Us performs in acting. I think the critical acclaim helps it to overcome the hurdles House of the Dragon has as a contender and I do think Pascal and Ramsey are both getting nominated but I can see that being it or the actors going all out in the guest categories. It’s always hard to tell with genre. For every Watchmen you have a Severance and for every Severance you have a Game of Thrones that actors don’t really care so strongly about outside of one performance.

    Huns, the tea is that Perry Mason will have a sophomore jump so high that Matthew Rhys is getting his second trophy in September, sorry to Pedro and Bob.

    FYC:
    The HBO darlings everywhere (The Last of Us, Succession, The White Lotus, Perry Mason, Somebody Somewhere, White House Plumbers, Love & Death);
    The Apple gang (Bad Sisters, Slow Horses, Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Black Bird);
    Poker Face, The Great, The Bear, Evil (especially Katja Herbers) and The Good Fight.

    Please! These gays, they're trying to murder me!

    oing all out in the guest categories. It’s always hard to tell with genre. For every Watchmen you have a Severance and for every Severance you have a Game of Thrones that actors don’t really care so strongly about outside of one performance.

    As an old GoT fan I’m kind of intrigued this year as to how that historical, uneven actors branch GoT affection plays out.

    Obviously it can default to HoTD, but there are also a lot of (non Dinklage) GoT alum who are a bit more closely associated with the show than someone like Waddingham/Menzies who are going to be on the ballot this year, which hasn’t really been the case in previous years. Not just Pascal and Ramsey, but quite a few of the previous nominees as well.

    Forgive me but what is Menzies going to be on the ballot for?

    He isn’t. My point is that whilst Waddingham and Menzies are technically GoT alum they’re not former nominees or cast where there is a significant affection related to their involvement (visibility, sure).

    The Handmaid’s Tale is not getting more acting nominations than The Crown and The White Lotus when it can’t even get a single guild nomination…

    Emma D’Arcy winning? She was my MVP, but come on. She’ll be lucky to be nominated with the way HOTD has been performing.

    Emma D’Arcy is not even getting nominated in lead, they need to drop down to Supporting to have a chance.

    FYC:
    The HBO darlings everywhere (The Last of Us, Succession, The White Lotus, Perry Mason, Somebody Somewhere, White House Plumbers, Love & Death);
    The Apple gang (Bad Sisters, Slow Horses, Shrinking, Ted Lasso, Black Bird);

    Are there any major debuts ahead? I feel like The Last of Us was the last one… If that’s the case, then I think the top twelve are as follows:

    1. Succession

    2. Better Call Saul

    3. The White Lotus

    4. Andor

    5. The Last of Us

    6. The Mandalorian

    7. Yellowjackets

    8. The Crown

    9. Bad Sisters

    10. House of the Dragon

    11. Yellowstone

    12. The Good Fight

    Once there was only Dark. If you ask me, the Light's winning.
