Am I crazy for thinking Sophie Nelisse has a better chance of getting in than Juliette Lewis and Tawny Cypress ?

For one of the younger cast to get in they’d have to campaign like mad.

The production history on that is really insane so I’d probably want to see reviews before making any statements. Those sorts of thrillers/action series don’t tend to be what voters go for or are very heavily FYCd, but they tend to do very well commercially.

yep, this type of show seems to be amazons sweet spot too with reacher, jack ryan, terminal list, peripheral (more sci fi) all having big commercial success

Well they’re in different categories aren’t they? Lynskey, Cypress, and Lewis are in lead and everyone else is in supporting, no?

I love Yellowjackets but I don’t really buy it expanding out its noms that much

Imagine her winning over Lynskey and Lewis. Her future would be golden having taken down two queens lol

That makes me think she must have a lot to do.

She was already very prominent in the premiere.

If Lynskey and Nelisse are nominated, would this be only the 2nd time two actors are nominated in the same together for playing the same role in the same series?

The only other time I recall is Jovan Adepo and Louis Gossett Jr for Watchmen.

Shauna has always felt like “the” protagonist as much as a sprawling ensemble like this can have one protagonist, so I suppose it makes sense.

I’ve seen the first three episodes (I still have three more to go). I currently see Lewis getting in over Nelisse (I think she just has more material to work with), but I agree with her in lead. I’ve enjoyed her material so far, but wouldn’t personally nominated her based off what I’ve seen so far.

Brown said Nelisse would be getting an Emmy nom once at a Scream red carpet so now with this I assume she’s indeed very baity. I’m not seeing it happening tho.

Noble that they’re trying to reflect the actual prominence of the actors/characters in the story, but Cypress and/or Lewis would almost surely be getting nominations in supporting if they were submitted there. I can see one of them joining Lynskey in Lead, but not both, and certainly not with Nélisse as well. Really surprising that they saw how well switching to supporting worked out for Ricci and didn’t follow suit. This really is just a bafflingly dumb move on Showtime’s part.

FYC: Bad Sisters (Anne-Marie Duff) Cunk on Earth (Diane Morgan), Fleishman Is in Trouble (Lizzy Caplan/Claire Danes), Industry (Marisa Abela/Myha'la Herrold), Physical (Rose Byrne), Poker Face (Ellen Barkin/Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Chloë Sevigny), The White Lotus (Sabrina Impacciatore)

Whew with the weak Drama Actress race, I’m actually kinda hoping Sophie gets in. I can’t see four noms obviously but with Lynskey’s previous nom, I actually see her and Sophie getting in rather than all three adult women.
