No one told her it was the final season. She came on that set mad as hell!

For Your Emmy Consideration:
Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook - Succession
Selena Gomez - Only Murders in the Building
Elizabeth Olsen - Love & DeathMarch 22, 2023 at 7:46 am #1205359674Succession is currently at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with 21 reviews
March 22, 2023 at 9:26 am #1205359830Meanwhile Yellowjackets has suddenly dropped to 77. I could be wrong but I think it’s the result of a single 50 review from The Hollywood Reporter, seems like more “nothing happens in this show!” Which was an issue critics had with season 1, really hope this isn’t any cause for concern.
March 22, 2023 at 9:45 am #1205359847Can I just say at least three outlets hyperbolically claiming Succession has nailed the ending (and then later stating they only saw the first episodes) is why I basically just care if a Metacritic is net positive.

He lives in you, he lives in me, he watches over everything we see.
Into the water, into the truth, in your reflection, he lives in you.March 22, 2023 at 10:02 am #1205359867It’s time for HBO to send Snook lead.
Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!
March 22, 2023 at 10:13 am #1205359881I would recommend everybody here to put Milly Alcock and Olivia Cooke on her predictions for best supporting actress
You should know at this point, HBO doesn’t play with their campaign money when it’s about award shows.

And that money will be going to The White Lotus, The Last of Us and Succession!

But in the outstanding supporting actress category:
-The last of us has no female supporting characters to get recognition
-Succession only one lock and that is Sarah
-The white lotus only jennifer coolidge is locked and aubrey plaza is hanging in there
March 22, 2023 at 10:31 am #1205359906Alcock I guess it could happen if voters do go for the minimum HOTD since she’s basically the lead of early episodes and has showcase after showcase, but Cooke? Can only see it if the show really overperforms which is something imo that’s total out of the realms of possibility since the show flopped at all main guilds.

Aubrey Plaza’s actually GG nominated for her performance, J. Smith-Cameron is a previous Emmy nominee for her performance, Meghann Fahy has a hell of a lot more passion (have never seen several viral tweets about Milly Alcock’s facial acting) in a much stronger show, and that’s not even mentioning other far stronger contenders like Elizabeth Debicki, Christina Ricci, and Rhea Seehorn. I do not see Milly Alcock squeezing in when her show is proven to be a non factor at most awards bodies.
FYC:
Succession, Industry, Ted Lasso, Dead to Me, and Fleishman Is in Trouble in all categories!March 22, 2023 at 10:41 am #1205359917Genuinely think there’s a higher chance of every single White Lotus actress getting a supporting nom (Fahy, Plaza, Coolidge, Impacciatore, Granno, Richardson, Tabasco) than anyone from HotD getting in. And the chances of 7 actresses from the same series in one category is basically 0.
Anyway, very excited for the Succession sweep. Not only do I expect it to crush the Emmys, I also expect it to be the first critic aggregate repeat since Fargo in 2015. Maybe there’s an out of nowhere critical darling in the second half of the year like I May Destroy You or Severance to come snatch second place, but I struggle to see anything toppling Succession’s momentum and I’m living for it.

You’re in for quite the rest of the season if this is what you think lol.

Yes they do. They had no idea how to prioritise their actress categories during GoT and still don’t.
March 22, 2023 at 11:03 am #1205359990“Jeremy Strong’s Kendall is relishing every moment of the new episodes, and it could be argued that he is the most complex of them all given what he’s been through over the last three seasons. Each moment he’s onscreen is imbued with Kendall’s history and his contempt for Logan, a man he simultaneously admires and despises.”
Maybe they will prioritize Strong’s campaign over Cox’s
