Am I the only person who’s scared ‘Dead Ringers’ is seen that way too? At the very least, I’m expecting another ‘Hannibal’.

Maybe? Neither feel entirely in line with what they’d normally go for, but neither does some of the winter stuff, but they’ve got to vote for something.

Love and Death is not exactly an original concept but it’s most in line with last year.

    what about White House Plumbers?

Does this show even exists at this point?

He lives in you, he lives in me, he watches over everything we see.
Into the water, into the truth, in your reflection, he lives in you.

    what about White House Plumbers?

I know a million people will pile on me with this response, but I don’t actually think this fits the vibe of the last few years. It skews a bit old and it’s big P political as opposed to small p. It feels like something they would have gone for pre 2020.

The number #1 thing I think it has going for it is being on HBO.

I hope so! Rachel Weisz winning an Emmy is amazing but Rachel Weisz starring in a bizarre and queer show? Even better.

What do people rate as the weirdest things they’ve gone for? I don’t think their tolerance is very high for experimental (that includes the guilds).

Watchmen winning over more “traditional” tv shows was one of the best awards surprises ever.

You’re not the only one. As I said before the fact it’s listed below not only Daisy Jones and the Six but also The English on Amazon’s FYC site feels really striking (seeing that The English itself, although excellent, is also not the most conventional awards player itself and has only gotten a SAG nod for Blunt this season) and could be telling of it being more of a Weisz acting vehicle than an across the board player.

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

I feel like sometimes they’ll go for weird /artsy and sometimes they’ll go for horror, but I think they have very little tolerance for shows that do both (Hannibal, Interview with the Vampire). Watchmen is a great example of something that was weird but kind of tapped into superhero film exhaustion, and it may not seem like it now but I feel like Fleabag was pretty avant garde and bizarre with having Fleabag’s relationship with the viewer being one of the most important storylines in the show. Then on the horror side you have AHS’s domination back in the early 10s, although who knows if they’d go for that now. Anyway I’m not hopeful for Swarm but I’d love to see a nomination for Fishback

So  I read that the cast of Daisy Jones and Reese Witherspoon would be up for a season 2 if Amazon  thinks it is successful  enough. Now they put in the limited  section if their FYC page so I don’t think it is going to happen but if is actually successful and they change their idea..what would it mean for the category?

Is it bad that despite being not that good in it I kinda hope Anna Papuin makes the cut? I always though she deserved something for the first three seasons of true Blood lol

I read it on  the deuxmoi sub reddit but the only relaible source I found online is an interview with Town and Country where the series creator  Scott Neustadter says there could be more story to tell if that was something people wanted. Big Little Liestoo despite  starting as limited series got a season too so it is not outside the relam of possibility I guess..
Also Nicole Kidman via Instagram Story just promoted Love and Death
