This Jessica talk has gotten out of hand 💀 She won the Oscar in a fluke and she’s at best third for the Emmy and barely a contender for the Tony. She’s a great actress but she’s not Triple Crown level yet.

So we’re just waiting on 5 more series’ now right? April 7: Tiny Beautiful Things (Hulu) – Kathryn Hahn, Merritt Wever April 14: The Last Thing He Told Me (Apple) – Jennifer Garner, Angourie Rice, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau April 21: Dead Ringers (Amazon) – Rachel Weisz April 27: Love & Death (HBO Max) – Elizabeth Olsen, Jesse Plemons, Lily Rabe, Krysten Ritter, Patrick Fugit, Tom Pelphrey May 1 (tbc): White House Plumbers (HBO) – Woody Harrelson, Justin Theroux, Lena Headey, Domhnall Gleeson, Judy Greer, Ike Barinholtz, Kiernan Shipka, Yul Vazquez, David Krumholtz and Kathleen Turner

I hope a couple of these can come in to save the season because right now…really, really weak year in limited. Optimistic especially for Dead Ringers and WHP, though.

He’s convincing in the role and the character is written really well, but none of the material falls outside of Eisenberg’s comfort zone (unless the finale changes things). Of the three ‘leads’ of the show, I find him the weakest, but still good.

Thanks, I will give it a watch. I just feel he has so much more capability to give more when I watch him, he is so talented

Swarm is at no.4 on IMDB this week. For reference it is higher than the likes of Ted Lasso (which is no.5), Daisy Jones and the Six (which has moved down to no.7) and Yellowjackets (which is at no.10).

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!

This is pretty impressive given a lot of black led shows really struggle on those charts for some reason. Atlanta and Abbott have never made the top 20.

Netflix have Cabinet of Curiosities as priority on their FYC page with Dahmer. It’s an anthology so that would struggle for acting noms, but perhaps it is doable for a series nom, especially if they can get Del Toro somehow involved in FYC. It did relatively well at guilds.

Considering some of us are thinking Monster won’t have enough respect to win Series, what else can win if Love & Death ends up flopping?

If Fleishman is in Trouble is strong enough to get Eisenberg and Caplan in I don’t see why it can’t be competitive.

I think Lizzy Caplan is in the wrong category.

I’m a bit surprised Netflix ditched ‘Lost Ollie’. I know it was barely watched, but it did get an ASC nomination.

Are we sure White House Plumbers is coming? It’s super weird to not have dated it yet, especially when it would be filling a Monday spot and not benefitting from Sunday traffic from Succession.

    I don’t think she’s considered a frontrunner for Tony, so I doubt it’s happening.

i dont think you have seen the reviews of her performance and the play. 😂 she is frontrunner for the tony.

    -Keira Knightley, The Boston Strangler

These kind of nominations never happen.

I’ve said this before but it was just last year we had Station Eleven and Maid in both writing, directing and acting yet missing series, but something widely seen like Inventing Anna was in series. Monster can easily be defeated with something better coming along but if it comes down to only the fall contenders it’s prevailing.

It only holds a No 1 Amazon position in Africa and Jamaica. It is still at 2 in the US which is impressive as I expected it to fall away further by now and it definitely has US viewing figure strength
