So far the reviews are really praising Hahn! I’ve seen a bit of the show myself and personally, this is something to look out for if it becomes an audience hit. Hahn is genuinely fantastic and would be a very deserved nominee, and the show is quite darkly comedic at points. I think that if it lands with critics and audiences, you might wanna consider taking out Fleishman Is in Trouble for it (though I personally prefer Fleishman at the moment). It’s tackling similar-ish themes and has a *very* similar target audience (middle-aged women).

March 31, 2023 at 9:48 am #1205370407I read the book years ago but I still remember its emotional depth and How I teared up while reading through some of the stories(and I was just 16 so not really in the target audience). If the show can get as emotional as the book I can see Hann being win competitve, especially if the female voters rally behind it
March 31, 2023 at 10:08 am #1205370421It’s an amazing race now how Chastain will probably be third at best if tiny beautiful things , L&D and dead ringers are good .
And a Blunt snub is likelier than a nominations.

She deserves to win, so I’ll be really upset if she doesn’t even manage a nomination.
I love Hahn though so I’m happy her series sounds like it’s good. Is Wever being singled out, for anyone who’s read the reviews?

Denis might end up being the only acting nomination for the show. Eisenberg is probably 6th at best if Harrelson/Theroux are happening. I don’t discount Radcliffe either.
March 31, 2023 at 10:53 am #1205370534The one who has most industry support is Chastain. She won sag over seyfried. I highly doubt enough people will see all the new limited series released in time for voting.

I am TERRIFIED for her, I think at the moment I’d predict her snub (but I have Chastain out since odds) but she is very easily my winner at this point

She was always in danger. I honestly think she’s in the wrong category. Her role is only slightly bigger than Claire’s.

Yes. Sarah Pidgeon, who plays the younger version of Hahn’s character, is praised as well.
A Negroni. Sbagliato. With Prosecco in it.
