So I read that the cast of Daisy Jones and Reese Witherspoon would be up for a season 2 if Amazon thinks it is successful enough. Now they put in the limited section if their FYC page so I don’t think it is going to happen but if is actually successful and they change their idea..what would it mean for the category?
I mean I guess it could happen but I I don’t think it’s getting the demo they’re looking for and you can tell from the Amazon chart it’s charting pretty inconsistently outside of the US. It looks fine, but not like a big international breakout hit or under an overall deal unless I’ve missed something.
If it overperforms at the Emmys I can see them doing it given their awards slate going forward is pretty thin, though. The cast does seem keen.

No word yet but the usual save their big linear movies for mid-April – May premiere.
March 18, 2023 at 12:53 am #1205356092Just watched the English and it’s a shame that his performance is not getting more traction cuz Chaske Spencer should easily be winning actor by a mile….Such a terrific original performance…
Ps: Emily blunt gives her best ever performance in the finale and should also be in the winning conversation, rooting for her and Olsen to come through…

Blunt is such an underrated actress, this year could be huge for her(emmy nom for the English, oscar nom for Pain Hustlers) and I am here for it!
SXSW 2023: “LOVE & DEATH” Ep.1 (Lust, Murder, Humor, Intrigue!)
Somw reviews of Love and Death by the way
March 18, 2023 at 2:04 am #1205356142#LoveandDeath is as intense and surprisingly hysterical as it manages to be primarily due to the powerhouse performances of Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons.
David E. Kelley’s writing takes the viewer on a roller coaster of lust and curiosity, in this true crime narrative… https://t.co/FqNTaeNOHB pic.twitter.com/o5O7CyMjx8

March 18, 2023 at 2:05 am #1205356145#LoveandDeath is a picture perfect project for the era of true crime. Olsen and Plemons are magnetic and the first episode does a fantastic job of setting up the story’s context. Hopefully the series will focus on the victim’s humanity rather than on the case’s circus. pic.twitter.com/dJFStrZyUI

March 18, 2023 at 2:06 am #1205356147Ep.1 of Love & Death delivers an unassumingly sinister foundation for what looks to be a quirky tale of passion and murder. The awkward humor shines. The foreboding atmosphere is built perfectly. Olsen/Plemons are fantastic and this mystery has a ton of potential. #SXSW #HBOMax pic.twitter.com/NB6Dl8TROZ

It’s especially sad when you consider how white the list of contenders is. I’m rooting for him to get a BAFTA nomination next week.

Solidarity with the striking writers. Pay them the wages they are owed for bringing us the content we are all on here because of!
March 18, 2023 at 6:53 am #1205356232I’m still wary about the shows quality tho…L&D seems like a show where things could easily so sideways very fast, I know Olsen will deliver regardless tho…Donno about anyone else but got Fargo S2 vibes from the trailer, if it’s even half as good as that it should be okay for Olsen to win..

The trailer gave me really good vibes but I am trying to keepy my excitement cautiously low for now because the series could easily be an Undoing 2.0. But yes Elizabeth will EAT and if the series is as good as the trailer(and has good visibility) i feel like She will be the one to beat
March 18, 2023 at 8:16 am #1205356256Jessica Chastain is taking the emmy. Her show has it all singing the transformation the whole story its wonderful. And shes gaining more momentum because shes doing broadway now and receiving critical claim for her performances. Sorry Emily and Elizabeth maybe next time.

We heard the same about Butler in Elvis. We all saw how that ended…
The only way Chastain wins the Emmy, is if her competition ends up being total flops and no1curr. She’s a weak frontrunner.
