Unfortunately that’s exactly where the quality dips imo. The finale was actually incredible but 4 and 5 are totally skippable
March 20, 2023 at 11:51 pm #1205358495Watching Ms. Marvel, and if this category is as barren as everyone says it is, submit this. I just finished the third episode, and each episode improves on itself. I think the last half is really nicely set-up, so I’m expecting the level of quality to maintain. Pretty dang good, definitely worthy of a nomination.
I think they should. It’s part of the MCU piece, which are supposed to be four quadrant, so there’s no real need for them to send it to Kids and Family IMHO.

Kinda interesting to see promo in English about this show
I wonder if Netflix will submit this in the Primetime Emmys. Senna is probably the most famous brazillian around the world. And it’s probably going to have a substantial part of it in English.
Gabriel Leone will play Ayrton Senna in Senna, a six-episode series based on the life of Ayrton Senna, the world-famous Formula 1 icon.

March 21, 2023 at 11:41 am #1205358801My personal lineup for that year:
– Sienna Miller, The Loudest Voice
– T’Nia Miller, Years and Years
– Sarah Paulson, Mrs. America
– Jean Smart, Watchmen
– Emma Thompson, Years and Years
– Tracey Ullman, Mrs. AmericaAnd yet that just doesn’t even begin to convey how many deserving performances there were that went unrecognised that year. Ari Graynor! Hong Chau! Winona Ryder! Rose Byrne! Helen McRory! Aduba and Collette were very good and I’m glad they got recognised but it will never not disappoint me how many performances slipped under the radar that year in that category. Any of these 11 women could probably have been gunning for the win in my personal awards in any other year.
1. Hong Chau, “Watchmen”
2. Jean Smart, “Watchmen”
3. Toni Collette, “Unbelievable”
4. Emma Thompson, “Years and Years”
5. Sarah Paulson, “Mrs America”
6. Margo Martindale, “Mrs America”March 21, 2023 at 11:55 am #1205358815Sarah Paulson (Mrs. America)
Runner-up: Emma Thompson (Years and Years)
– Rose Byrne (Mrs. America)
– Allison Janney (Bad Education)
– Margo Martindale (Mrs. America)
– Helen McCrory (Quiz)
– T’Nia Miller (Years and Years)March 21, 2023 at 1:23 pm #1205358904Great Expectations reviews are coming out. Collider (100) and The Telegraph (60) are already on Metacritic.
There are two other positive reviews Culture Whisper (5/5) and Primetimer and a really bad one by Standart UK (0,5/5) 💀
March 21, 2023 at 1:31 pm #1205358917The UK publications that have given reviews so far are all from right wing/centre-right publications who seem hell bent on stirring culture wars over perceived “woke-isms” in this new adaptation. I’d ignore them.

Having near universal acclaim despite being the least seen, I wonder if this could forecast a strong performance on the restricted ballot.
March 21, 2023 at 10:07 pm #1205359209Swarm getting Emmys love isn’t just a want, but a need for me at this point. I love my girl Jessica but Ms. Fishback should be winning that category, let’s be real.
