Who would actually submit it? Will the rights have moved over to Disney+ by Emmys? I can see them having a vested interest in doing so.
BBC America would still have the rights to it as the Disney agreement only covers episodes of the show from 2023 onwards.
Last year I presume they probably just forgot that they aired a season of the show (which is understandable because I think most people did). There was a lot more buzz for this special but I can see AMC Networks not really being interested in submitting seeing it’s now quite literally a relic of the past for them and they need to focus on the future.
FYC: Better Call Saul, The English and The Good Fight in all categories including Emily Blunt, Bob Odenkirk, Christine Baranski and Rhea Seehorn.
November 27, 2022 at 7:52 am #1205168085Love this!! Already excited for next season’s inevitably star-studded cast and opening credits theme variation. Who would you like to see cast in a future season? – for me: Rachel Sennott, Boyd Holbrook, Harris Dickinson, Kaitlyn Dever, Florence Pugh, Nicholas Hoult, Zazie Beetz.
would love to see Chloe Sevigny, Patricia Clarkson, Jesse Plemons, Margaret Qualley, Alfre Woodard, Jennifer Tilly, Kelvin Harrison Jr, Stanley Tucci

November 27, 2022 at 1:37 pm #1205168312Jesse Eisenberg should be sweeping instead of the inevitable boring Evan Peters sweep we’ll get.
He’s way better. Please! These gays, they're trying to murder me!

5. Amanda Seyfried, The Dropout
6. Michelle Williams, Fosse/Verdon
7. Sarah Paulson, ACS
8. Jessica Lange, Coven (this would be higher if she won for Asylum)I haven’t watched Seven Seconds or The Big C so I won’t rank them. I didn’t realize Seyfried’s Dropout performance was so controversial, I really enjoyed it, but it didn’t blow me away like the top 4 did. I also actually think all 8 of these are really great performances
November 27, 2022 at 3:46 pm #1205168434Copying wolfali’s “who would I have chosen”:
2022: Mackenzie Davis
2021: Michaela Coel (Thus Mdebu should’ve also been nominated, very close runner up for me)
2020: Regina King
2019: Amy Adams, Sharp Objects
2018: Laura Dern, Twin Peaks (possibly she doesn’t qualify as Lead Actress here though. If not her, Naomi Watts, also from Twin Peaks)
2017: Nicole Kidman (also tempted to pick Jessica Lange for Feud though)
2016: Kirsten Dunst, Fargo
2015: Frances McDormandI’ve only seen American Horror Story for the 2013 and 2014 categories, so I’ll abstain.
