DGA said no to them for Euphoria. The other guilds weren’t here for them either. The spinoff curse was strong and the haters were rejoicing. They had ONE chance.

January 10, 2023 at 8:41 pm #1205233953Maybe we underestimated how they would want to try to set up the next Emmys race, so it was basically just BCS and HoTD. This confirms once again that they don’t really care about BCS, so they went for HoTD. They might also desired to finally award the GoT franchise and potentially when HoTD is at its peak, so they wouldn’t have to award it later on once it’s less popular, or miss on awarding it at all in case it wins Emmys. I personally don’t think it has peaked yet, but it might have been part of their thinking.

Considering how much whiplash inducing its awards performance has been so far, that’s entirely possible.

I feel like either one of HoTD or The Crown is out.

Girl…
Predicting The Crown to miss SAG of all places is definitely bold.

I’m not predicting either, but you can’t always just change casts on a franchise and expect people to fall in love with them.
