I know this is not at all relevant to the conversation but I would love to know you all’s predictions for this, since I love these series!
Hopefully they can happen in person too!

I like that lineup. I wouldn’t mind seeing Jessica up there for Scenes from a Marriage, I think she has a big chance of getting in
ReplyCopy URLApril 5, 2022 at 6:48 am #1204904804Aniston and Witherspoon both did it in 2020…I don’t see them repeating.
Or maybe just one of the two…
ReplyCopy URLApril 5, 2022 at 7:07 am #1204904824These aren’t really ‘predictions’ but I’d love to see this for the Drama Actor Roundtable:
Jason Bateman, Michael Keaton, Hamish Linklater, Himesh Patel, Adam Scott, Omar Sy.
Murray Bartlett, Sterling K. Brown, Mike Colter, Kieran Culkin, Andrew Garfield, Oscar Isaac, Bob Odenkirk are some others who came to mind. There are plenty of interesting projects and characters to select from the male actor side this year.

April 5, 2022 at 8:27 am #1204904886For the Comedy Actress roundtable I imagine it will be Jean Smart, Hannah Waddingham, Selena Gomez, Elle Fanning, Kaley Cuoco, Jennifer Coolidge, Issa Rae, Quinta Brunson, Sandra Oh. Obviously not all haha
ReplyCopy URLApril 5, 2022 at 11:16 am #1204905076Am I wrong in remembering that last year it seemed to skew a lot toward NBCU shows in comedy? And I don’t think they had any Ted actors. Hopefully no repeats from last year. Most of the time the questions are the same or very similar, so I don’t need to see Jean and Kaley answer them again right now. These are more like hopes and not predictions for comedy actress:
Hannah Waddingham or Juno Temple, Quinta Brunson (although she could be in the showrunner panel instead), Selena Gomez, Sandra Oh, Elle Fanning, Hannah Einbinder
ReplyCopy URLApril 5, 2022 at 11:37 am #1204905114I really hope with the wealth of strong (and deserving) contenders this year they actually have good comedy roundtables for once.
My “wishlist”:
Comedy Actress: Rachel Brosnahan, Quinta Brunson, Sarah Lancashire, Issa Rae, Molly Shannon, Jean Smart, Hannah Waddingham
Comedy Actor: Bill Hader, Brian Tyree Henry, Nicholas Hoult, Steve Martin, Kayvan Novak, Jason Sudeikis, Tyler James Williams

They did. In usual years THR’s panels tend to opt for the most famous of contenders even if they’re not a big part of the Emmy conversation. Their 2020 drama actress lineup for example included Janelle Monae for the mixed received second season of Homecoming.

ReplyCopy URLApril 6, 2022 at 2:23 am #1204905901I need to see an actors on actors pairing with Rachel Brosnahan and Jean Smart together.

ReplyCopy URLApril 6, 2022 at 10:51 am #1204906399This was the 6 actors at last years comedy actors round table:
Geesh- none of them were nominated and I can’t remember any of them being serious contenders for a nom. I know much of this depends on scheduling and who is willing to partake but hopefully a better line up this year (though if doing in person in LA/NY anyone from Ted Lasso is out as they will still be filming in London).
ReplyCopy URLApril 24, 2022 at 8:21 pm #1204930567It’s completely irrelevant but just decided to make a one off prediction for the Actors on Actors one just for fun.

– Quina Brunson and Jung Ho-Yeon
– Bill Hader and Adam Scott
– Elle Fanning and Julia Garner
– Colin Firth and Renee Zellweger
