Amazon is killing it on paper, but we’ll see if these film auteurs can successfully transfer the same quality to long form storytelling. Still, David O. Russell, Nicholas Refn, Barry Jenkins, Matthew Weiner, Neil Gaiman…those are some very talented people.

Very ambitious next act for Barry Jenkins! Kind of surprise he’s going to television, and he’ll have to contend with “Underground” already on the market. This might be what finally gets me to purchase Amazon Prime outright.

Just saw the teaser and I need to see a bit more to know if it’ll be a big contender but TUR looks good based from that teaser.

Michaela Coel is winning Writing but the way the top 2 in Writing could be from HBO shows and the top 2 in directing could be from Amazon shows.

I feel like theres mixed thoughts on spoilers for binge releases in the threads but for this show specifically, if you choose to watch all ten episodes over the day or so be cautious of late episode spoilers for at least a few weeks please. I can imagine many of us will spread this one out. I read the book so not sure why I have this concern but whatever wanted to say it.
