I’m so glad that this show is back. Bill Hader’s direction is just a chef’s kiss. The performances were great as usual. NoHo Hank continues to become one of my favorite TV characters.

Bill Hader on Jimmy Kimmel last night. The whole interview is hilarious but at 10.30 he talks about directing the Noho Hank interrogation scene.

I just watched this as it was recommended to me by YouTube. The NoHo Hank reveal was great.

I don’t know how this one escaped me. After seeing repeated ads for Barry Season 3, I decided to start watching from the beginning. What a fun and clever dark comedy. A hit man wanna be actor played with perfect deadpan expressions by Bill Hader. I think this is my favorite new show – can’t wait to get caught up with season 3. Should be there by the weekend – this show is that yummy. What a hoot!

I know some people hate repeat winners but best is best and Bill Hader is so far ahead of the competition, even Sudekis, it’s ridiculous. Bill Hader is reaching Bryan Cranston levels with this character and we’re only two episodes in season 3.

The way this show so confidently turns on a dime from comedy to drama is astounding. I was laughing at all the trunk gags one minute then put on edge the next.

I’ve been going into these episodes convinced I already knew how good Hader is, but he just keeps topping his performances with every new episode.

Good god he’s amazing. Just his face alone can convey so much and then change so quickly. Those close ups were actually almost too intense. Bravo Mr. Hader. A full transition into Gene’s Sam (love bombing and tearful apologies and neediness).

Also the writing (which got hilariously meta) was so good. That conversation with Sally and the writer was great. And D’Arcy and Jessie are so funny together.

Note to self to stop reading reviews and commentary because the guesswork of what happens next has been stolen from me. Hopefully it was just guesswork.

What’s most impressive to me is seeing an SNL alum being so good at drama.

I hope you’ve seen The Skeleton Twins, he’s outrageously good in that.

Bill Hader really saw the people that were like “barry has done NOTHING wrong and sally is the worst person on this show” and decided to swing a whole hatchet at that hornet’s nest with this episode. Honestly? Grateful for that. Those last five minutes had me SCREAMING.
