I found this list on ranker.com (take it in the spirit of fun and not outright science!) of the characters voted best Female Characters of all time.

There actually is quite a high crossover re: Emmy nominations vs what’s listed but wanted to know which characters you think are so iconic you find it ludicrous in retrospect.

    Overall list is here

The consensus choice appears to be Buffy which I honestly can’t disagree with. I suspect Sarah Michelle Gellar would not get in now the way the Emmys have changed but it still hurts my brain that she didn’t get in for the run of the show.

also interesting to filter to West Coast of the US (hmmm votership pool) and see what changes.

Carrie Coon as Nora Durst! (Leftovers)

The show being snubbed from all fronts was a travesty in itself.

I’m going on a asterisk here but
Diane Lockhart at THE GOOD FIGHT*, Christine Baranski deserves all the nods for Diane in TGF! Peak brilliance

*She was nominated for The Good Wife, but honestly, i think they are two different Dianes

    Emmy winner Matthew Macfadyen!!

So unjust! She broke many stereotypes of females on television. Still hurts that all other major castmates got Emmy noms and not her.
