“The 13-episode season will be broken into two parts, though AMC isn’t going to stretch out the end too much. The first seven episodes of the season will run April and May. After a six-week break, the final episodes will begin airing July 11.” Source: Hollywood Reporter

The six episodes of the show that air in the Summer will be eligible in 2023 as one series (a bit like Mad Men season 7b and Breaking Bad season 5b). The first seven will be eligible this year though.

That just kinda seems like a dumb move to me because the finale airing a whole year before nominations doesn’t give it a great chance (when they’ve never really loved the show) it’ll probably only help the half eligible this year.

ReplyCopy URLFebruary 13, 2022 at 12:29 pm #1204800005It’s always additional chance for Emmy voters to finally award the show properly. I’m sure quality will be there and April can’t come soon enough. I think a short break but still enough episodes for two awards circles is a very smart move.
I rewatched the entire series during summer so I’m mostly fresh on details – it’s always been hazy before that. Bring it on! 🙂

“The first question we got when we started the show was, ‘Are we going to see Walt and Jesse?’ And instead of evading, I’ll just say ‘yeah,'” said showrunner Peter Gould about the AMC series’ upcoming sixth season.

ReplyCopy URLApril 16, 2022 at 5:33 am #1204918822I have to wait for the season to finish so I can find somewhere I can watch the whole season on a free trial or just one cycle because there is no way I am paying for AMC+ for one weekly show over three months. Better Call Saul is the most expensive weekly show from a consumer perspective if you think about it.

ReplyCopy URLApril 20, 2022 at 3:18 pm #1204925218The show continues to be excellent and I’m still wowed by how the writers were able to coordinate so masterfully all these non interconnected storylines all the same time.
Michael Mando and Rhea Seehorn are in for some great material this season, yup.
