Even the writer/director on Twitter warned that they didn’t know upfront this would be a mid-season finale and therefore not to expect cliffhangers, but damn! I fear for Kim now more than ever.

The cinematography was top-notch.

And a slew of BTL awards like cinematography and editing.

I could live with Jonathan Banks but I have never been a fan of Esposito’s performance within this universe and this season was him at his worst. And it’s actually been discussed a bunch on reddit this season how cartoonish and affected the performance and character is. But he’ll probably actually be nominated.

My hot take is I don’t think Tony Dalton deserves a nomination. He was great but he was more a looming presence in the background than actually on screen most of the season. I’d still be thrilled if he somehow got in.

Patrick Fabian deserves a nomination for this episode alone. His final scene was absolutely heartbreaking.

What it should get:
Series
Lead Actor (Odenkirk)
Supporting Actress (Seehorn)
Supporting Actor (Fabian)
Guest Actor (Mando) hopefully he will be submitted here instead of in supporting
Writing x2 (“Rock and Hard Place” & “Plan and Execution”)
Directing (I’m not sure for which episode but I suspect if it does sneak into directing it will be “Plan and Execution”)

What I think it will get:
Series
Lead Actor (Odenkirk)
Supporting Actress (Seehorn). This is mostly me being hopeful but I actually think she has a strong chance this year.
Supporting Actor (Esposito, maybe Banks)
Writing (“Plan and Execution”)

Plus I think it has pretty good chances to get into categories like cinematography and editing.

What a cliffhanger for the midseason finale. The last 10 minutes were thrilling as a viewer. Patrick Fabian also gave his best performance in the show. I can’t wait for the second half because the stakes went high.

Marvelous episode, I screamed at the end… Everything was brilliant, this 9.9 after 13K votes is so deserving.

It will be so disappointing when the 2 undeserving actors (Banks, waisted and almost entirely missing and Esposito, his performance has always been overhyped and mediocre, his Spanish is atrocious and offensive, I hope some native speaker finds the courage that Simu Liu has when he criticized the poor Mandarin in Moon Knight) get nominated again instead of the 3 deserving ones (Mando and Fabian have done their best performances ever, while Dalton is the definition of charisma and has eaten up all of his scenes).

Most of the Spanish in this show is atrocious lol except for Dalton. But yeah, Esposito didn’t deserve the nomination last time and he doesn’t deserve it now.
